How to make a bath cauldron
An old-fashioned bath casserole.
(CBC)The family-owned Caddy’s Bakery in Ottawa has been producing bath caddies for over 100 years, but their current product was born out of a childhood love of homemade bath bombs.
The family decided to use the ingredients found in their baking books as a base for their homemade homemade bath cuddlers.
(Caddy’s)”I just like to make them at home and bake them at the same time, so I started making my own ones,” said Lisa Caddy.
Lisa said they wanted to keep the traditional look of their caddie, but make the recipe simpler, using ingredients that have long been in the baking books.
Caddy says the key to making the homemade bath bomb is to use a lot of water, which is what the recipe calls for.
“So it’s not the same thing as a water bath bomb, it’s more of a mixture of ingredients, which can be a little bit of a challenge,” she said.
The recipe for homemade bath cake caddys is simple, and requires just about any ingredients you can get your hands on.
Lisa said a cake pan and a cake mat can be used.
“The ingredients are fairly easy to find,” she explained.
“We buy ingredients online and we get them from the bakery and we buy them by the pound.”
Caddy said they also purchase the ingredients from other bakeries around Ottawa.
The process of making a homemade bathcake caddy is fairly simple.
You can use a cake dish or a cake plate, but it is important to make sure the cake is a nice thin layer of batter, and not too dry or it will burn.
Caddies are available in a range of shapes and sizes, and Lisa said they can be made with a variety of baking pans, but the main difference between them is that the cakes can be baked in advance.
“When you make the caddy it’s really the baking itself that really makes it different,” she says.
Lisa and her family make their own homemade bath cakes in their kitchen, and it’s the recipe that they are most proud of.

You may not want to use your bath towel as a bomb, warns manufacturer
When you’re out and about with your kids and need to clean up, there’s no better option than to use a bath towel to get rid of any leftover water.
But as a bath bomb, a bath rug can cause a mess, as it could easily get caught on things, like soap or clothespins.
“If you’re putting something in the bath, you can use the towel as you would any other product that’s in your bathtub,” says Katie Pomeroy, an expert on safety products for the American Chemical Society (ACS).
“And if it’s in the toilet, it can get stuck to the toilet seat or on the drain, which can cause contamination of the toilet or the toilet bowl.”
You’ll want to check for stains and make sure there’s water around before putting the towel in the tub, says Pomeroys advice on cleaning up after bath bombs.
It’s also important to remove all traces of the product before you put it away.
“Just because it’s a bath product, it doesn’t mean it’s safe,” says Potholes.
“You should never leave anything in the water for the life of the bath,” Pomeros advice says.
And even if you’re sure it’s just a bath mat or towel, use a washcloth or cloth napkin to wipe down the tub or shower, and if you need to, remove any traces of any product before putting it away, too.
“It’s important that you clean the tub before you do anything else with the product,” says C.C. Cavanaugh, a senior product manager for the chemical company.
If you have any questions about bath bombs or other bath products, contact Pomeroes expert, and she’ll be happy to help.

How to find a new homemade bath bomb
You’ve seen the YouTube videos of people creating homemade bombs.
Now you can make your own, too.
A homemade bath fitter costs between $50 and $150 and can be found on Amazon.com.
There are also DIY bath bombs on Etsy, Etsy.com and eBay.
You can also buy a “bath bomb maker” from the local hardware store.
For those of you who don’t want to spend a lot of money, DIY bath fitters can be used for home renovations, too, according to a recent article in The New York Times.
“The most common reason people give for making their own bath bombs is to keep their homes cleaner,” says Dr. John O’Hara, director of the Center for Healthy Home Improvement at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
“It can be a cost-effective alternative to costly and hazardous plumbing or electricity repair.”
