The new product from the makers of the popular “bath salts” has been dubbed “ionic footbath” by some consumers.
But the product also contains “bath salt” which is the salt water, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The FDA released its new statement Wednesday saying that the drug’s name is a registered trademark of Novella, and that “bath soap” and “bath water” are trademarks of Norell Inc.
The statement says the product is a combination of the words “bath” and the words”bath salt.”
The FDA says it will “not be issuing any further statements regarding the company.”
Novella is a pharmaceutical company that is based in Los Angeles.
Its product was originally released in 2012.
